Last night I was informed that Jeff was taking the kids on an adventure and I wasn't invited. That was his nice way of telling me that I got the whole day to myself. It was heaven. They all went to Cabela's first. That's tradition when you spend a Saturday with Dad. Next they were off on a drive. I'm not quite sure where all of these pictures were taken. Jeff's going to show me on the map later. I thought they were cute though.
They ended their drive down in Fountain Green at the farm. A rattlesnake decided to come out of it's hole and see what was going on, so they shot it. That was the first thing they told me about when they got home. It was quite a memorable experience.
I spent my morning going to Garage sales. I only found one thing. I was bummed that I didn't find any great deals. Oh well. After that I decided to go to the temple. It's rare that I don't have to rush home to kids after going to the temple, so I decided to take advantage of it. I even treated myself to Kneaders after because Jeff never wants to go there. It was a nice afternoon. I was going to come home and get so much done, but I laid down and fell asleep for 2 1/2 hours. That never happens. It was a very nice, peaceful day, and it made me appreciate my little munchkins more when they came home. Just seeing their little smiles and hearing about their adventures makes my heart melt. I'm a lucky mom, and Jeff is a great dad. Thanks for the day off.
