Merry Christmas

In the two and a half years since we've had The Mover I have not got one decent photo of all 4 of my kids together. This time was no exception. I got two good pictures. In one three of them were looking and smiling, in the other one was, so after a lot of editing I joined them together and this is the result. It's a little blurry, but you get the idea.

This has been a busy crazy year for our family. We've been very blessed in so many ways. We love the holiday season because we not only celebrate the birth of the savior, but also the birth of our oldest who will turn 9 this year. I am really in awe at how big my kids are getting and how fast they are growing up. They are all so unique and such an important part of our family. I love this quote that says, 'We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.' We hope you have a Merry Christmas. Love, The Hansens

November & December Fun.

It is sad that I have resorted to cleaning off my phone and posting pictures for the past month or more, but it is what it is. Better than nothing right?

The Mover gave up (with a lot of help) her binky at the beginning of November  This is how she now falls asleep.  She loves books and will 'read' long after we put her to bed.

Big Man and I took Hunter's Safety back in November.  We both passed our written and shooting test with flying colors!

Some goofy pictures of the girls.

I bought the Little People Nativity set back in the summer when it was only $20.  I immediately put it with our Christmas stuff so that no one really saw it.  When I got it out to decorate for Christmas, The Mover played with it for 3 hours that first day.  She LOVES it.
We had Thanksgiving at our house this year.  It was fun. It's not fancy or elaborate, but it turned out nice.
My kids were in the Light Parade in Nephi this year as part of a Nativity Scene.  They had a great time.

This is 'Buddy' the elf and he has joined our home these last few weeks.  He comes to life when the kids go to bed and has exciting adventures.  The kids can't wait to come up in the morning to see what he's been up to while they slept.  Here are just a few of his adventures.

When we moved to Mona Big Man brought home a flyer for the Nutcracker auditions.  He did it the first year by himself.  The next year him and Little Princess were in it.  Finally, this year Little Man joined them.  It's always fun, but a lot of work getting them to practice, dress rehearsals, etc.  The week of the performance ends up being a lot of late nights.  They learned a lot though and had a good time.  We'll see what happens next year.

This is what happens when I let Little Princess choose what she wants to wear to dance. Her outfit was on backwards and we had to wear the Minnie Mouse ears.

Finally we hosted our very first (and maybe the last) Polar Express party.  Each of the kids invited a few friends and we had pizza, watched the show, ate cookies and drank hot chocolate.  It was 2 1/2 hours of pure chaos, but I think they had fun.

Santa came to Mona this morning. It was all The Mover could talk about all week. When I asked her what she was going to tell him she wanted, she told me 'The Castle'. So this morning when we went to sit on his lap, it didn't go over well. She threw a fit before she even got on his lap, did the 'wet noodle' and slid right off his lap. Good times.
