Merry Christmas

In the two and a half years since we've had The Mover I have not got one decent photo of all 4 of my kids together. This time was no exception. I got two good pictures. In one three of them were looking and smiling, in the other one was, so after a lot of editing I joined them together and this is the result. It's a little blurry, but you get the idea.

This has been a busy crazy year for our family. We've been very blessed in so many ways. We love the holiday season because we not only celebrate the birth of the savior, but also the birth of our oldest who will turn 9 this year. I am really in awe at how big my kids are getting and how fast they are growing up. They are all so unique and such an important part of our family. I love this quote that says, 'We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.' We hope you have a Merry Christmas. Love, The Hansens

November & December Fun.

It is sad that I have resorted to cleaning off my phone and posting pictures for the past month or more, but it is what it is. Better than nothing right?

The Mover gave up (with a lot of help) her binky at the beginning of November  This is how she now falls asleep.  She loves books and will 'read' long after we put her to bed.

Big Man and I took Hunter's Safety back in November.  We both passed our written and shooting test with flying colors!

Some goofy pictures of the girls.

I bought the Little People Nativity set back in the summer when it was only $20.  I immediately put it with our Christmas stuff so that no one really saw it.  When I got it out to decorate for Christmas, The Mover played with it for 3 hours that first day.  She LOVES it.
We had Thanksgiving at our house this year.  It was fun. It's not fancy or elaborate, but it turned out nice.
My kids were in the Light Parade in Nephi this year as part of a Nativity Scene.  They had a great time.

This is 'Buddy' the elf and he has joined our home these last few weeks.  He comes to life when the kids go to bed and has exciting adventures.  The kids can't wait to come up in the morning to see what he's been up to while they slept.  Here are just a few of his adventures.

When we moved to Mona Big Man brought home a flyer for the Nutcracker auditions.  He did it the first year by himself.  The next year him and Little Princess were in it.  Finally, this year Little Man joined them.  It's always fun, but a lot of work getting them to practice, dress rehearsals, etc.  The week of the performance ends up being a lot of late nights.  They learned a lot though and had a good time.  We'll see what happens next year.

This is what happens when I let Little Princess choose what she wants to wear to dance. Her outfit was on backwards and we had to wear the Minnie Mouse ears.

Finally we hosted our very first (and maybe the last) Polar Express party.  Each of the kids invited a few friends and we had pizza, watched the show, ate cookies and drank hot chocolate.  It was 2 1/2 hours of pure chaos, but I think they had fun.

Santa came to Mona this morning. It was all The Mover could talk about all week. When I asked her what she was going to tell him she wanted, she told me 'The Castle'. So this morning when we went to sit on his lap, it didn't go over well. She threw a fit before she even got on his lap, did the 'wet noodle' and slid right off his lap. Good times.

October Fun

I am way behind on pictures, so I decided to put all of October in one big long post.

Little Princess had a field trip to the pumpkin patch.  This was our 3rd year going with the preschool. The kids love it.

This year they had some turkeys there to entertain the kids.  A lot of the kids didn't like them, but mine did!

These two little darlings can play so cute together.  They entertain each other a lot.  This usually means a lot of messes.

I love it when they just hug for no reason at all.

For my birthday I took my two favorite girls to lunch at my favorite restaurant-The Spaghetti Factory.

The school had a Halloween carnival at the park. The kids had a great time.

A friend's husband made this costume.  It was one of my favorites.  Very creative.  The kids lined up to get candy out of the holes.

I guess I chose the photo that the kids had colored on in my phone.  Oops.  This little darling was so excited to come home from nursery with a 'Conference' bag.  There were treats, crayons, coloring pages, etc. to get ready for conference.  She carried it around for days.

Our ward has this fun little tradition of doing 'walk abouts'.  There are 2-3 families that are the treat spots.  You then walk around to these different homes.  It's been a fun activity to get to know people.  This particular night it was rainy and cold so it ended up being inside.  Since it was a Halloween theme, there were lots of fun Halloween related activities.  Little Princess is putting her hand into a bowl of gooey eyeballs.  She thought it was great.

My little homeless lady pushing around her shopping cart.  She fills it to the brim and then some and it goes all over the house with her.  She's a crack up.

The Halloween parade at school is always fun to watch.  It's not cool to stop and pose for a picture, so I have to get one on the fly.

This is the best I got of the 4 of them in costume.  Our final Halloween events were trick or treating at the businesses in Nephi and in our neighborhood.

At the beginning of October we found out we're having a GIRL.  She is joining our family in February.  Jeff and I really thought it would be a boy, so we were kind of surprised, but excited too.  Since we found out,  I've been busy rebuilding the soon to be nursery.  I got rid of everything after The Mover grew out of them since I was determined she was the last.  It's been fun to get new things.  I had to set up the crib to see how it all looked.

I told Little Princess that we were going to change everyone's sheets.  When I went down to her room, this is how I found them.  Apparently changing sheets means ripping apart the entire bed and jumping on it.

Finally, my biggest helper loves to help me clean the bathrooms.  One day I will turn over the task to her completely.  Until then, I will capture her cute smile while she helps.
