Cute little puppies

Little man is always pretending to be a puppy. That or he has imaginary puppies with him. Today he was in heaven. There was a fundraiser at the park by our house. It was set up like a carnival, so the boys of course loved it. They jumped in the bouncy house and got their faces painted. We had to wait about an hour for the face painting, but there was no talking them out of it. They are nuts, but I love them and think they're adorable.

Big Man Loses a Tooth

Totally random today-Big man had his tooth this morning and didn't have it this afternoon. I'm not quite sure what happened in between. Jeff noticed it was gone. Because we don't have an actual tooth to give to the tooth fairy, we wrote her a note instead.
Here's his new grin. What a cutie.

The good news is the one right next to it is loose as well, so maybe we'll have one to keep this time.

No Fun at our House

Last week was not a fun week at our house. Big and little man started our stomach flu festivities on Wednesday or Thursday (I don't remember). The whole week was a blur. Two days later Little Princess got it. Two days later I got it. Jeff was the only lucky one. I think it's because he never cleaned up any throw-up.

I probably did between 15-20 loads of laundry during our illness. At least we now have clean mattress pads, sheets, comforters, towels, rugs, and clothes. It was insane.

Here's a picture of Little Princess asleep on my bed. This was her first bout with the flu. She did pretty good. Poor little thing.
The good news is that we're now germ-free and back to normal life and as far as I know we didn't give it to anyone :)

Two Dollar Tuesday is Back

(This is the first of three new posts-make sure you scroll down through them all)

Last year we went the last Tuesday of the month and I thought that was the reason it was so crazy. I was wrong. This year we went early in the month and it was even more insane. I think everyone in the whole valley was at Thanksgiving Point today. We had fun though. It was only 45 minutes or so to get in. The kids did remarkably well. We went with my friend Melanie and her kids.

Little Princess was excited to get out of the stroller. I set her down to play with some toy dinosaurs and she was off wandering. She thought she was as big as all the other kids.

Big man would not pose in this picture because he couldn't sit up front.

So he had to have his own. For real. I tried to get all of the same photo spots as last year :)

Big Man's un-birthday party

Most people think we're weird because we celebrate Big man's birthday August 2nd with my mom's. Her real birthday is December 29th and always celebrated it August 2nd growing up. We decided to adopt the same tradition since big man's birthday is Christmas Day!!! It's fun for him to have a party and get presents and not get lost in the Christmas craziness. This was quite the party. He picked out everything. He wanted to get the cake weeks in advance. Luckily I talked him out of that. He had a great time.

Big and little man with their cousins. Emily and her boys were still in town from the family reunion. That was fun to have them join us.
No party is complete without games. We played several and the kids enjoyed them.
Big man beating on the pinata. Yes, no party is complete without a pinata either. This picture does show all of our hard work this summer. Jeff dug out under our deck and poured cement. I restained the deck which was a MAJOR pain.
The gift of the night was a cantaloupe from Aunt Emily. She told him that's what his present was and he didn't believe her, so she did it. It was pretty funny watching him open it. He got a lot of fun stuff to play with.
It was a great party. I can't believe my oldest is almost 5. He keeps telling everybody that he's 5 now. One of the drawbacks to his summer party, he thinks he's already that age :) Oh well, he'll catch on. Thanks Grandma for sharing your birthday.

Summer Fun

I can't believe summer is almost over. It has gone by way too quickly. Here are a few things we have been up to. The boys took swimming lessons. This was big man's second year. Little man thought he was hot stuff being able to go this year.

The first weekend in August is always Jeff's family reunion a.k.a. Cousin Camp. Jeff and the boys decided to camp with Emily and her boys. They had a blast. Little Princess and I went down for the day Saturday. I wasn't really in the mood to camp and I had lots to do!!! I had to get the traditional picture in the swing with Little Princess. She loved it and didn't want to get out.

Big man wanted to be Uncle Andy. Complete with his hat and glasses. It was pretty cute.

I didn't get a ton of pictures of the reunion. The boys had a great time playing in the stream, swinging on the rope, exploring, and playing with their cousins.
I don't usually photograph my laundry room, but as I looked at all of the laundry to do after the reunion, I couldn't help it. It may not look like a ton, but the stack in the back is blankets which were a batch each.
I will add some more pictures in another post from the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. We went with some friends and had a great time.

One of these kids is not like the other :)
