He's Home...

My brother-in-law Dave is finally home after 13 long months in Iraq. We had a little welcoming party for him at the airport. It was a fun reunion. His cute little family was VERY excited to see him.

After the airport, we went to Temple Square. We had a good time. The boys always love looking at the statue of Jesus.

Trying to get 4 boys to pose for a picture is like trying to herd cats-as Jeff would say. I'll have to take his word for it since I've never had cats. I'm very grateful that neither of my boys went into the fountain at the conference center. We've had a fun weekend with family and we still have Baby E's blessing tomorrow as well as a large family picture. Stay tuned...

Wahoo!!!

Good news. My brother-in-law was able to get the pictures off of my camera. He's a computer genius and I feel bad that we bug him to do something whenever he is down (he lives in Idaho). Here are the pictures of Little man at the Instacare.

The pictures aren't the best quality since they were from my cell phone. The one of the actual cut doesn't do it much justice. It was pretty yucky. He's since got the staples out and it looks great. Even better news, I got a new cell phone. Well, semi new. It's Jeff's old Blackberry. He retired it when he got his I-phone. It's still in great shape and much better than my old Razr.

What a week

I am quite bugged right now. I have some pictures on my cell phone that I can't get off!!! It won't let me email them and so far I can't download them to the computer. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. It's a Motorola Razr.

The reason I'm so bugged is because Little Man had his first major accident on Wednesday. He had to get 5 staples in his head. He fell off the back of his chair in the kitchen and hit his head on the edge of the railing. I was supposed to be heading out for my SLCC class, but I didn't want to leave Jeff alone to handle everything, so I cancelled class. We ran out of the house without anything-Jeff's cell phone, camera, etc. All we were left with is my cursed phone. Little man was very brave. They put some numbing cream on when we first got to the Instacare. Once the Dr. looked at it he decided he needed to deaden it with a shot. I was trying to be up close to Little man so I could comfort him, but the more I watched, the more nauseated I became. When they did the actual staples, Jeff and I traded places and I stayed at his feet. I would rather have been in Little man's place having it done to me, than to watch him go through it. It was quite the night.

Anyway, hopefully I will get this figured out and I'll post some pictures.

Easter Festivities

I love Easter. Holidays are so much more fun with kids. We had a great time today.

The kids had fun with their Easter baskets this morning. Jeff and I had each got them a few things separately. It was fun to see what Jeff picked out for them. He's a good little shopper. The boys of course loved it. The first sugar high ended 3/4 of the way through sacrament meeting. Big man just laid on my lap kind of in a daze. They were revved up again later in the afternoon when we went to Grandma & Papa Snells for their Easter egg hunt.
Each grandchild had a certain type of egg to look for. This helped eliminate the mad rush for finding eggs. There were an equal number of each egg. It worked out well. Good thinking Grandma & Grandpa.
The egg hunt was not just for kids this year. Grandma & Grandpa and all the kids surprised the parents by having an Easter egg hunt for us. We too had a specific color to find. Our eggs were filled with something much better than candy :) Big man was in charge of the camera while mom and dad hunted eggs. He did rather well.
What a nut !!!

More of the festivities.

As the kids went to bed tonight I asked them what their favorite new thing was. Big man was quite excited to have a new Mario figurine. Little man liked the money he found in a few of his eggs. What a nut. I guess that's as good as his favorite Christmas present being pajamas.
Besides the candy, toys, egg hunts, fun with family, etc. I love that Easter represents new birth and the opportunity we have to partake of the Savior's gift to each of us.

Easter here we come

I finally took some new pictures tonight. Baby H is getting so big. She is really into playing with things. All toys (and tags) go straight to her mouth. She was entertaining herself tonight while the rest of us colored Easter eggs. It was quite the family adventure.

Big man has been so excited for Easter for weeks now. Every time it snows he groans, saying that we can't have Easter. I keep telling him that even if we have to have it inside, we'll have it. We'd never colored Easter eggs as a family before. The boys had a great time. There were only a few casualties overall. Not too bad.
What a couple of nuts. Getting them to cooperate for a picture is next to impossible. I'm not quite sure why Little man is half naked. You never know with him.

It's a Success

Baby H got her tubes on Wednesday morning. It went really well. We had to be at the surgical center at 6:30 a.m. and she couldn't eat for 6 hours before that. She woke up a few times in the night wanting a snack, but she went right back to sleep when she realized mom wasn't giving in. She was very wide awake and happy at 6:00 a.m. She talked and made noise the whole drive there. She was definitely happier than I was at that hour. The Dr. said there was lots of fluid in both ears, so she should be able to hear better now. If you heard how loud her brothers are you may opt for the fluid :) She came out of the anesthesia just great and was really mellow all morning long. I don't think it could've gone any better. The surgical center and Dr.'s office have both called today to check up on her. I thought that was nice. She's doing great.
