All Aboard

The big event finally arrived. We've been waiting for Thomas for over a month now. That may have been my fault for telling big man over a month ago :) It was a little cold in Heber City, but we still had a great time.

We opted for an open car this time. The kids had a great view of everything we were passing. They loved it.
Me and my Thomas loving boys. Little man thought he was pretty hot stuff. Last year he wasn't old enough to go.

My new and improved yard

I finally took some pictures of my yard. The pictures don't really do it justice. It looks a lot better in person.
Jeff has worked really hard. The final thing we added was the dark soil to the front garden. It looks great.
Without seeing the before pictures of the backyard, you don't really get the scope of the project. There was a HUGE garden the length of the property that we ripped out. Jeff took all the landscaping rocks from the garden and moved them to the corner to build a fountain. It's still a work in progress, but it will look good when it's all done.
This is how wide the garden was. We had cement curbing, but it was a little damaged with the excavation. Jeff got these rocks from his dad's farm. The new sod is already blending in quite well. We're very pleased with the results.

My Little Helpers

Okay-so all of my posts and pictures have to do with the boys, but I can't resist. They're adorable and that's where I spend ALL of my time.

When I hear giggling, I have to investigate. I knew big man was behind the desk, but I didn't know little man had climbed back as well. They're nuts.

I don't know what's going on in this picture, but I thought it was cute.

The humpty dumpty wall down on Grandpa's farm. They love going to the farm with their dad. They have all sorts of adventures.

Big man's favorite part of the zoo-the circus train (as he calls it). Forget the animals, we went for the circus train. Little man has started saying "All Aboard" just like his brother. I may have two train lovers on my hands.

Other exciting things happening at the Hansen house: We now have sod in our backyard. I was hoping that would help cut down on the amount of dirt coming into my house, but so far it hasn't. I guess it would help if the boys would stay out of the garden. The sprinklers are still a work of progress, but our yard is shaping up. Pictures to come later. The best news of all is that the morning sickness may be over. I haven't thrown up in about two weeks-wahoo. I did however have to break out the maternity clothes, my belly is starting to get big.

Hansen Family News

At least we're 90% sure. She was being very modest. The doctor said he wouldn't paint the room yet, but we could go buy some dresses. For those of you who don't know, we're expecting baby #3 on October 9th. That makes me 18 weeks along. It's been a rough 18 weeks. I've been a lot more sick with this pregnancy than the others. I'm finally feeling better and hope that lasts the remaining weeks.

Other fun things that have happened in the last little while (since I've been incognito for the past few weeks):

1. I went to an Anthony Robbins seminar a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing. Not only did I have four days away from the boys, but I learned a lot and had a great time. Jeff stayed home with the boys and did a great job as Mr. Dad.
2. I thought it would be quality one on one time with dad while I was gone, but Jeff decided to use that time to clear out our back garden. This may sound like a small task, but it required the use of a bobcat and a lot of time and effort. He cleared a huge garden, moved a ton of dirt and rocks, and created a waterfall. It's going to look awesome when it's all done. We get sod this Friday, so we'll actually be able to use the backyard.
3. We planted our front garden. Our first year in this house we just kind of waited to see what popped up. There were lots of perennial flowers, that are beautiful for a week or so, but don't last. We planted several trees, bushes, and shrubs that add a lot of color and variety. It looks great. I'll get some pictures posted later.

I'm sure there were other things that took place, but those are the big ones. It's been a busy couple of weeks.
