Watermelon Mug

The first few times I gave The Mover some watermelon, she turned her nose up at it. But now she's decided it's okay.

I bought the kids some new camping chairs. They were out in out backyard just chilling. You can see how lovely the back 'yard' is. We cut down the weeds, but it could still be dangerous if a fire were to start up.

We're right in the middle of a bunch of fires right now. Jeff watched the one that started in Fountain Green on Saturday a couple hours after it started. He said it was crazy. This afternoon we looked over the mountain West of Nephi and saw the Oak City fire. It's a little scary. My heart goes out to all of those involved.

More Fun...

Look at who has FINALLY mastered stairs. The Mover has been able to go up the stairs for quite a while, but she is just now figuring out how to go down them.  She used to sit at the top of the stairs and listen to her brothers and sister play downstairs.  Now she tries to join them.

I love watching my kids play.  They have quite the imagination.  They were playing cops and robbers.   It started out with one chair and quickly grew. The friends that were over informed me that I should tie my kids up if they're naughty :)  Good idea friends, good idea.

We had a fun day.  My grandma from St. George stopped by to say hello to me and the kids.  It had been a long time since we'd seen her.  The kids had fun entertaining her.  She had a good time watching them.

We spent our morning at Seven Peaks.  We bought the pass of all passes and thought we'd better make good use of it.  Next time we'll include Jeff or leave the baby home.  It's a little hard with one adult and 4 kids to keep track of.

Summer Fun

I promised I'd take some more pictures so our summer doesn't just disappear.  Last night we got together with our cousins  up at the Big Springs.  I've never seen such dirty kids.  A few of them look like they have makeup on too.  Good times.

My 'pinkalicious' girls.  We had cupcakes with pink frosting on them.  Luckily they didn't wake up pink this morning.

With swim lessons this week and last I decided it was a good time to try and move to one nap.  We've done pretty good until today.  I was sitting on the floor finishing up some homework and The Mover came and laid down by me.  I didn't think  much of it because she was making lots of noise and playing with her sippy.  All of the sudden it got real quiet, I looked down and she was out.  Totally threw off nap time for the whole day.  Ugh.

Also our pet frog 'Jumper' has been relocated to a better home.  The ponds by our house are a much better home for him.

More Window Well Adventures...

So far in our window wells we've had voles, mice, cats, muskrat, and now....FROGS!!!  Little Man was so excited when he spotted it tonight.  He came running upstairs and gathered everyone to come and look at it.  Big Man got his boots and gloves on to go down in the window well to get it.  At the last second, he decided he didn't want to.  So Little Princess says, I'll do it.  She got the boots and gloves on and was about ready to go down when Big Man decided he'd better 'man' up :)  He got the gear back on and I lowered him down.  He had the 5 gallon Home Depot bucket to catch the frog in.  He put it up next to the frog and it very kindly jumped in the bucket for him.  He didn't even have to touch it.  He did later after he warmed up to it a bit.

The frog now officially has a name (Jumper)  and the boys want him to be a permanent part of the family.  Yeah, right!  I'm not quite sure what we're going to do with him, but for now he's still in the bucket on the back porch.  His living conditions have been upgraded to include grass, dirt, water, and a rock.  He should be very happy there.

Summer Fun...

Remember the days when you didn't have to get a treat for the baby.  Yeah, those days are over here.  Bummer.

Our mornings have been a little action packed this week with swimming lessons.

Summer is flying by for us and I feel like we haven't even done much.  Swimming lessons have been fun and tiring this week. We've also been going to the park for lunch every day.  The city provides lunch for the kids.  They have a great time playing with their friends.

I have been going running with some friends in the mornings.  I am not a morning person, but I've gone faithfully for 3 weeks now.  We average about 23 miles a week.  Not bad!  I'm also not a runner, but I've enjoyed it.  It definitely helps to have friends to go with.  I wouldn't go as far or as fast on my own.

Other than that nothing too new here.  We're trying to stay cool and have fun.  I'll try and take some more pictures.  I've been slacking in that area.
